The half of it netflix trailer. Like Alice Wu"a directorial debut, Saving Face, her subsequent feature The Half of It has great performances, thought provoking dialogue, and a beautiful story,message, and direction. The problem is all of that is ignored for a cheesy soap operaish third act and ending. Overall, I really enjoyed the film but thought the third act and the ending could have been done better. The half of it rating.

Yes, it sounds like a bad joke and it is, really. Leah Lewis plays a shy, Cinderella-type waiting to be rescued. She has a buddy, Paul that likes a girl so she helps out with a letter and it evolves from every Romcom ever made to a Hollyweird fantasy gone off the tracks. Can"t recommend this snoozer with a twist unless you are a part of the 2% then enjoy. Netflix is circling the drain, they were saved by quarantine but they can"t keep cranking out trash.
